What to Expect When You Visit Algonquin Park

The Park will be installing MOLOK units throughout the HWY 60 corridor to manage all 4 waste streams. So at any given location, a Park user would see a MOLOK for Paper Recycling, a MOLOK for Container Recycling, and a MOLOK for Regular Garbage. MOLOK containers for organics diversion are currently only available for commercial operators in Algonquin (i.e. Lodges, Youth Camps, Stores, etc.) with the possibility of expansion of organics diversion into campgrounds in the future.

As a visitor to Algonquin Park you would be expected to sort paper and container recyclables out of regular garbage, similar to what many of you already do at home.

Look for more information at your campground and watch for posters directing you to the closest MOLOK container.
